Unlimited Cashback with Hong Leong Essential
With Hong Leong Essential, you will get cashback of up to 1% on all eligible local and international retail transactions* with no minimum spending required.
For all retail transactions, insurance, travel and other spending, you can earn 0.5% cashback for spending of RM3,000 and below.
If you spend above RM3,000, you are eligible for unlimited 1% cashback.
*Valid retail transactions (both local and international) exclude all Government/JomPay/FPX transactions, QR Pay via HLB Connect App, Cash Advances, Quasi Cash, Quick Cash, Flexi Payment Plan, Auto Balance Conversion, Balance Transfers, and any fees or charges.
Low Cash Advance Interest Fee
The cash advance service allows you to withdraw cash for up to 70% of your credit limit with your Hong Leong credit card, with a low interest rate of 10.8% per annum.
Do note that the Bank reserves the right to charge the standard rate of 18% per annum if there's any default in payment due to the Bank.
The withdrawals can be made via 1.5 million ATMs in 200 countries and territories or over the counter at any Hong Leong Bank branch.
However, Hong Leong Bank imposes a fee on each withdrawal with lower charges at only 2% of the withdrawal amount or a minimum of RM5, whichever is higher for each transaction.
Bear in mind that Hong Leong Bank reserves the right to impose the standard rate of 5% or a minimum RM20 (subject to Government Tax, if applicable) per transaction, whichever is higher.
Hong Leong Essential Low-Interest Instalment
You can enjoy low-interest repayment on your big purchases with the Hong Leong Flexi Payment Plan (FPP).
The repayment period of your choice is up to 36 months for as low as 0.88% interest per annum, depending on the plan offered by the participating merchants.
The minimum spending amount is RM500. Worry not, there are no hidden charges.
As long as you fulfil the requirement, you can contact the Hong Leong Call Center at 03-7626 8899 to convert your purchases to FPP to your preferred instalment tenures. Or simply make an application via Hong Leong Connect Online Banking or App.
Remember that you have to settle your repayment within the agreed tenures, otherwise the standard Hong Leong Essential finance charges of up to 18% p.a. will be imposed on the balance.
