What is so special about this A-Plus Med-i?
First of all, this particular medical insurance plan is, in fact, a takaful protection plan offered by AIA Public Takaful.
There are several benefits that come with getting this protection plan. Not only will you get to have lifelong medical protection, or up to the age of 100 at least.
This takaful product comes with no lifetime limit and an increasing annual limit to help serve your needs better. You will have the option to purchase one of 7 plans offered by the policy.
This means you can select not only the level of coverage you want but be able to stay within your budget, should you choose.
What does it cover exactly?
As most medical covers work, you will have coverage for all hospital facility expenses, including rooms, use of equipment, surgical attention, the use of the ICU, medication and physician visits.
Of course, aside from that, you will also have access to home nursing care among other post-hospitalization treatments.
Never have to worry about physiotherapy treatments or acupuncture should you need it, along with, kidney dialysis treatment.
Who can apply for this plan?
The great thing is that this plan is open to everyone. As an individual, you can pick up the plan as s long as you are over the legal age of 21.
It is open to families as well, so parents if you want to either include your kids under the umbrella or get them an independent coverage, you are free to do so.
In the case of children, they must be at least 14 days old to be eligible for the plan, at the same time the maximum age for entry into the plan is 70 years old.
Don’t worry the protection doesn’t stop there, you can continue to renew the policy up until the age of 100.
Can I cancel this policy at any time?
Sure you can, the policy is yours to do with as you please.
However, keep in mind that there is a cooling period of 15 days, where, in case you decided to cancel your policy, any premiums paid will be refunded to you.
Should you decide that you want to cancel the policy later on, you will need to give AIA Public Takaful a full month notice before cancellation.
On top of that, there is no guarantee that you will be fully refunded for your premiums paid.
