So what exactly is the Allianz MediEssential?
The simple truth is that this is a medical insurance policy offered by Allianz Life Insurance. It is a comprehensive medical security plan that will allow you some peace of mind in your day to day life, that if and when the need arises you will have medical coverage.
Not only that Allianz MediEssential is intended to be your financial footing amidst the array of exorbitant medical bills that we sometimes find ourselves among.
How much does it cover really?
Well it will take care of all hospital related bills, such as room and board, the use of hospital equipment and supplies, Intensive care services, surgical fees and physician visits. It will also look after any medical related charge such as your surgery and medications involved, as well as transportation and post-hospitalization care, should you need it.
The policy also looks out for you if you have and require treatment, if you are in need or regular kidney dialysis and to a certain degree home nursing. Of course, there is some restriction when it comes to certain types of coverage, usually pertaining to how much you are covered for. For example, room and board rates, if you would like to upgrade your room, you can choose to do that. You will still be covered for the amount promised, but will just have to pay the difference.
Are there any other benefits?
One of the greatest benefits of this plan is that you will have a choice between 7 different insurance plans. Each plan comes with different rates, coverage, and annual limits, because of that you get to decide how much you want to be covered for as well as how much premium you want to pay.
This way, if you are living on a budget and want lower premiums, simply look at the plan and select the one that works best for you.
What if I decided I don’t want the plan?
There is a 15-day cooling period from the date you receive the policy, in which you can decide if you want to keep the policy. Should you choose not to, this is the time for you to make your cancellation and you will be refunded any premiums you might have paid. Alternatively, the same rules apply in the cooling period after every renewal.
