What benefits are offered in this medical card?
Different needs call for different insurance policies. With Lonpac MediSecure, you have 5 different plans with different coverage benefits and premiums payments to fit your budgets and requirements.
All plans include the following standard coverage: surgical related fees, medical expenses, kidney dialysis treatment, ambulance fees and more.
If you are financially stable, you may also choose to add deductible to your policy and enjoy markdown on your annual premium as high as 50%.
How does the no claim bonus work?
With Lonpac MediSecure annual policy's limit can grow without any increases to your premiums. Just stay at the top of your health and make no claim throughout the coverage period.
Your annual limit will increase by 10% for each no claim bonus you receive, up to a maximum of 5 years. For example, if your annual limit is RM200,000 it will increase to RM220,000 next year, and to RM240,000 in the year following.
How do I renew my policy?
There are three ways to go about it:
- Contact a Lonpac insurance agent and let them do it for you. However 15% extra will be charged on your gross premium as commission for the insurance agent.
- Go directly to Lonpac branch office to renew your policy and you'll save 15% charges!
- You can opt to renew your policy automatically and the premium will be charged to your credit card. That's one less thing to worry about, save 15% and the hassle!
Am I only covered in Malaysia?
All benefits for this medical card are applicable globally, anytime of the day. Lonpac MediSecure also covers for the expenses If you are recommended by a local Physician to receive specialised treatment outside of Malaysia.
You will also enjoy the benefits if you fall sick and need to be hospitalised while travelling abroad.
Who is eligible to be covered under this insurance?
For first-timers, you can sign up for this medical insurance if you are a permanent resident in Malaysia and age between 30 days to 64 years old.
As for children who fall in the age band between 30 days to 18 years old, or 23 years old if they are still a student, they'll need to be insured together with one or both parents. This means they can't have a standalone policy.
If you are a policyholder, your policy is guaranteed renewal up to the age of 80.
