This is an investment-linked medical insurance package that comes with a Prudential medical card that you can 'swipe' at the hospital. Use it at a Prudential panel hospital to be reimbursed for those exorbitant medical expenses incurred in the event of hospitalisation.
How do I get started with PRUflexi med?
It is as easy as 1, 2, 3, and 4! First of all, decide on your Hospital Daily Room & Board Allowance amount - that's the amount you want to be covered for your hospital room expenses, including your daily meals.
Secondly, Decide on your Annual Limit amount. Then, decide on your deductible amount. Choose the mount of deductible that suits your medical needs. Lastly, decide on your benefit term, that is to what age do you wish to be insured.
You mentioned deductible. What is it?
Deductible is also known as an out-of pocket expense. It is an amount you need to pay first before PRUflexi med can pay for the rest of your medical expenses. A plan with a high deductible will have a low monthly premium, and vice versa.
For Hospital and Surgical benefits, and Outpatient Treatment benefits, you are subject to deductible of zero to RM300 for any one disability during a 90-day period. The remaining balance is taken care of by PRUflexi med up to your annual limit.
Who is eligible to take up this plan?
Anyone between the ages of 1 to 70 years.
How long do I have to pay for my premium?
Premiums are paid throughout the duraiton of your medical plan which depends on the expiry age that you choose for your PRUflexi med. You are given the flexibility to choose to be insured until you are 70, 80, 90, or 100 years old!
Can I review my policy first before committing to it?
Yes, you sure can! After the delivery of your policy, you have 15 days to review your policy to check whether they suit your needs. Should you change your mind during this 15-day period, all charges and fees that you have paid will be refunded.
