What is Bagus 4U Personal Loan?
Bagus 4U is a KPKT-licensed moneylender based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, offering personal loans of RM2,000 to RM200,000 to salaried Malaysians. You can use the loan for any legal personal purpose, such as debt consolidation, medical bills or home repairs.
As a licensed moneylender, Bagus 4U Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 202001005809 (1362129-H)) operates under the Moneylenders Act 1951.
- KPKT Licence No. WL7540/05/01-4/230628
- Advertising Permit No. WP7540/05/01-4/230628
What is the interest rate?
Bagus 4U charges 1.5% interest per month on your full loan amount, which works out to 18% a year. Because it's a flat rate rather than a reducing balance, you pay interest on the original loan amount for the whole tenure, not on what's left as you pay it down.
Formula: I = (P + P×R×T)/M
Where:
P = Principal Loan Amount (e.g. RM200,000.00)
R = Annual Flat Interest Rate (18% / 0.18)
T = Loan Tenure in years (e.g. 2)
M = Total Repayment Period in months (e.g. 24)
For example, a RM200,000 loan over 24 months results in RM72,000 in total interest, bringing the total repayment to RM272,000, or RM11,333.33 per month. This calculation does not include fees. Your actual monthly repayment will vary slightly once stamp duty and other charges are added.
Because the rate is flat, your true annual borrowing cost works out higher than the 18% headline figure. Note that the Effective Interest Rate (EIR) changes with tenure, so a different loan tenure will produce a different EIR.
- 6 months: 30.23% per annum
- 12 months: 31.72% per annum
- 24 months: 31.46% per annum
What are the fees or charges that are applicable?
- Stamp Duty: As per the Stamp Duty Act 1949 (Revised 1989)
- Late Penalty Fee: 8% p.a. on the overdue instalment amount
What happens if I’m late in my repayments?
You'll be charged 8% a year on the overdue instalment amount, calculated daily for as long as it's overdue. The fee doesn't compound, and Bagus 4U limits total late charges at your outstanding principal. The lender may also grant a 3-day grace period after your due date, though this isn't automatic.
Who is eligible to apply?
Salaried Malaysian employees aged 21 to 60 years are eligible to apply. You must also earn a minimum monthly income of RM2,000.
What documents do I need?
- A copy of your IC (front and back)
- Your latest 3 months' bank statements
- Your latest 3 months' salary slips
- Your latest utility bill (water or electricity)
