More Information

What Is Hellolink?

Hellolink isn't a bank or a lender. Hellolink Network Sdn Bhd is a platform that offers personal financing packages from Islamic banks and cooperatives. Its customers are mainly civil servants and staff of government-linked companies (GLCs).

Hellolink connects you with the bank or cooperative and helps you through the application. The provider then assesses your application, approves the financing and sets your profit rate and terms. All the packages are Shariah-compliant, so you pay a profit rate instead of interest.

Hellolink says it can also help with debt consolidation and with lowering the deductions on your payslip. It takes enquiries through WhatsApp, and its operating hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Which Banks And Cooperatives Does Hellolink Work With?

Hellolink lists five financing packages. Each one has its own starting profit rate and conditions, as stated on Hellolink's site in October 2026.

PackageProfit Rate From
Public Islamic Bank3.88% p.a.
AmBank4.25% p.a.
alrajhi bank Malaysia4.70% p.a.
OSK6.35% p.a.
RCE (Yayasan Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Perlis)6.65% p.a.

These are starting rates. The rate you're offered depends on how the provider assesses your income and commitments.

What Can I Use This Islamic Personal Financing For?

Hellolink focuses on debt consolidation and salary restructuring. Debt consolidation means combining your existing debts into one new Shariah-compliant financing with a single monthly instalment.

Salary restructuring is what Hellolink calls Baikpulih Gaji. The aim is to bring the deductions on your payslip down to 60% of your salary, so you keep at least 40% as take-home pay. If you plan to use the money for something specific, check with the provider before you apply.

How Much Can I Borrow And For How Long?

You can borrow from RM5,000 to RM350,000. The loan period is 12 to 120 months (1 to 10 years).

How much you're offered depends on your salary, existing commitments, and profit rate. If you already pay a lot towards other debts each month, or your profit rate is high, you'll qualify for less.

What Are The Profit Rates?

Profit rates range from 3.88% to 9.99% p.a. Hellolink describes its rates as fixed, so your rate stays the same for the whole financing period. The lowest starting rate is 3.88% a year for the Public Islamic Bank package.

Hellolink doesn't publish the Effective Profit Rate (EPR), which shows the true yearly cost of your financing. On a flat-rate loan, the EPR is higher than the advertised rate. Check the EPR in the provider's Product Disclosure Sheet (PDS) before you sign.

How Long Does Approval Take?

Hellolink says approval takes about 3 working days. The exact time depends on the bank or cooperative, which makes the final decision.

Do I Have To Sign Up For Takaful Coverage?

Whether you need takaful (Islamic insurance) depends on the bank or cooperative. For the Public Islamic Bank package, Hellolink says Takaful Ikhlas covers the financing. The contribution amount and who pays it depend on the provider.

Ask the provider whether takaful is compulsory and whether they deduct the contribution from the amount you receive.

What Fees And Charges Apply?

Hellolink says it doesn't charge any upfront or hidden fees for its service. Fees for the financing itself depend on the bank or cooperative. Before you sign, check the PDS for:

  • Processing fee
  • Stamp duty
  • Early settlement fee
  • Late payment charges
  • Takaful contribution, if takaful is required
  • Membership fees, if any (Hellolink says the Al Rajhi, OSK and RCE packages have no monthly membership fee)

Can I Settle My Financing Early?

Early settlement terms, including any fee, depend on the bank or cooperative. Check them in the provider's PDS before you sign.

How Do I Pay My Monthly Instalments?

How you pay depends on the bank or cooperative. Ask the provider whether your package is paid through salary deduction or another method.

What Happens If I'm Late On My Repayments?

Late payment charges depend on the bank or cooperative, and they're listed in the provider's PDS. If you're having trouble paying, Hellolink advises you to contact the provider early to reschedule or restructure your financing.

Who Is Eligible To Apply For Hellolink?

Hellolink's packages are for civil servants, statutory body staff and GLC employees. To apply, you need to:

  • Be 18 to 65 years old
  • Earn at least RM18,000 a year (RM1,500 a month)
  • Work in the public sector or for a GLC

What Documents Should I Prepare?

For a free eligibility check, Hellolink asks for:

  • Your valid IC (both sides)
  • Your latest 3 months' payslips
  • Your latest 3 months' bank statement
  • Your latest 2 years' EPF statement
  • Your CTOS or SPEKAR report, if you have one

Other documents for the full application depend on the bank or cooperative, and the provider will let you know what it needs.

Can I Apply If I'm Blacklisted?

Providers check your credit history through CCRIS, Bank Negara Malaysia's credit reporting system, and credit bureaus such as CTOS.

Some packages accept applicants with past credit issues. Hellolink says this includes people with CCRIS or CTOS records, and people on a repayment plan with Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK).

Being able to apply doesn't mean you'll be approved. The provider still checks your income, commitments and credit history.
