How much money can I borrow?
OCBC Prestij-i offers personal loans between RM30000 and RM150000 with repayment terms from one to ten years.
Who is eligible for this loan?
This loan is especially for OCBC premier account holders as well as individuals aged 21 and over who enjoy a good credit rating. Your monthly income must be at least RM15000, or you must have a Malaysian credit card with a credit limit of more than RM45000.
How much does this personal loan cost?
OCBC does not charge a processing fee. You will have to pay 0.5%of your borrowing amount for Stamp Duty and the legal fees.
What do I need to apply for this personal loan?
OCBC Prestij-I personal loan is an unsecured loan therefore you do not need a guarantor or deposit as security.
You will need to provide supporting documents with your application
- Copy of MyKad (front and back).
- Latest salary slip or EPF statement.
How do I get my hands on the money?
Loan approval takes a few business days to process. The bank will call you if your application is successful. Once the terms are agreed, the bank will prepare the documents stating all the terms and conditions. The approved funds will be transferred to the account of your choice as stated in the application form.
How do I pay the money back?
You start repaying your loan installment on the date stated in the Bank’s payment schedule, which is generally one month following the date you received the money. Installments must be paid monthly as per the schedule until the loan is fully repaid. Failure to pay on time will cost you 1% p.a. of the amount in arrears.
What if I pay more than the monthly installment?
The additional money will be treated as an advance payment to your next loan installment. It will not reduce your loan principal and you cannot withdraw the money.
Can I pay my OCBC Prestij-i Personal Loan off early?
Yes, you may settle your complete loan at any time. If you settle your loan in the first half of its tenure, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee of RM150 or 2.5% of the total amount borrowed, whichever is greater. If you settle your loan in second half of its tenure, the bank will grant you a rebate.
