What happens if I did not make a repayment on time?
There will be a finance charge incurred on the outstanding credit card balance that are overdue. This finance charge, ranging from minimum 15% p.a. to maximum 18% p.a., is tiered based on the user's repayment behaviour in the last 12 months.
See table below for reference:
Annual Rate | Condition |
15% | Cardmembers who promptly settle their Minimum Monthly Payment due for 12 consecutive months. |
17% | Cardmembers who promptly settle their Minimum Monthly Payment due for 10/11 months in the last 12 consecutive months. |
18% | Cardmembers who make 9 months or less prompt payments of their Minimum Monthly Payment in the last 12 consecutive months. |
For example, if within 12 months from the card approval date you have missed 3 credit card repayments consecutively, 18% p.a. finance charge will be levied on the credit card outstanding balance.
After which you have managed to consistently repay your credit card outstanding balance promptly and in full for 12 consecutive months, the finance charge will be defaulted to the minimum.
How do I earn cashback with Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum MasterCard?
All local and international retail purchases charged to your Standard Chartered JustOne Platinum MasterCard will be added cumulatively each month.
The cashback rates that you'll get on your petrol, online purchases and auto-bill payments will then be credited to your account based on the total monthly spend amount.
If you sign up family members for a supplementary card, any retail purchases made to a supplementary card will also count towards your monthly spend and higher cashback tiers.
Retail purchases exclude: cash advances, cash withdrawals, charges for cash advances or cash withdrawals, annual fees, interest, finance charges, disputed transactions, balance transfers, government-related payments and charity donations.
