Who can apply for this current account?

This current account can be opened as personal or joint account. Both Muslim and non-Muslim individuals aged 18 years and above are eligible to open Hong Leong One Account.

You don't need an introducer for this current account opening. All you need is a minimum initial deposit amount of RM1,000.

Are there fees and charges?

For personal account, the issuance of cheque book will cost you RM10 (exclusive of Stamp Duty of 15 Malaysian cent per leaf) from the third application made within a month.

Now, if you don't maintain your average balance of minimum RM1,000 every month, you will be slapped with a RM5 service charge - so it might not be a good idea to withdraw from this checking account too often.
