The AXA Affiin smart traveler plan classic is a travel insurance plan offering coverage for any personal accidents and medical expenses that have occurred while abroad.
The types of Personal accidents and Medical expenses you can claim for are:
- Accidental death or disablement
- Hospital fees for accident or illness
- Medical evacuation or repatriation of remains
Is travel inconvenience covered by this plan?
Unfortunately, all travel inconvenience such as flight delays and baggage misplacement will not be covered under this travel insurance policy - for more comprehensive coverage, take a look at the Gold, Platinum, or VIP packages.
What areas are covered?
This insurance policy offers protection for 2 geographical areas.
1) Asia and Oceania:
Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China (excluding Mongolia, Nepal & Tibet), Hong Kong, Macau, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Laos, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam
All overseas countries excluding Iran, Syria, Belarus, Burma/Myanmar, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Zimbabwe.
Does the AXA Affin Smart Traveler Plan Classic enforce an age limit?
Yes, you are eligible to enjoy travel protection with the condition that you are aged between 18 and 79 years old.
For a family plan, your little one must be aged between 30 days and 18 years or up to 23 years if he/she is a student in tertiary education such as college or university.
This plan is open to Malaysian citizens, permanent residents and valid work permit holders residing within Malaysia.
How many days will I be protected from this insurance?
The maximum cover period of this insurance is 190 days per trip.
This simply means that you are only allowed to top up your travel protection until 190 days of your travel. After 190 days, you will no longer be covered.
Does this plan offer any bonus coverage?
Yes! The special coverage of this plan includes unforeseen situations as terrorism, injury or illness as a result of taking part in winter sports and scuba diving, and childcare.
