What is AIG Travel Assist Superior all about?
This insurance plan is one of 3 under the AIG Travel Assist Comprehensive policy. It’s a program to help you keep your piece of mind while on a vacation with your family. This way you know that you’ve covered all the bases.
What are the main benefits of this insurance Policy?
Being covered with this policy means that you have medical benefits, and personal accident benefits, even when you’re overseas. So if you get into an accident and hurt yourself, just check into a hospital and claim from AIG insurance later.
They also provide cover for Travel Inconveniences among other travel benefits. So in the case the airline has lost your luggage or your bags are delayed, put in a claim to compensate for the money you need to spend on necessities.
On top of that, if you had missed a flight connection due to delays or were denied boarding from over booked flights, then claim the insurance for that too.
How do I get the insurance policy?
To be eligible you need to be between the ages of 18 and 70. If you had kids that you’d like to protect under the policy then there is the option to put them on a per trip plan. As long as they fall between 31 days of age and 18, they are eligible for the per-trip plan.
Hit the apply now button if you’re interested. You’ll get covered for up to more than 100 days whether you’re visiting the neighboring countries or full on going for a Euro tour. But if you are an avid traveler then if would be more beneficial to you to invest in the annual plan.
So how do I make claims?
Depending on what you’re claiming, you may need to lodge a report. If the airlines lost your luggage then, lodge a complaint and a report with the airline, download a claim form and file them together.
If you are in a medical emergency, have the hospital and police generate reports that you can send in with your claim form.
Are sports activities covered under the policy?
Well all leisure sport and activities are covered. Excluding, extreme sports, motor-vehicle racing and life threatening hobbies. However as long, as you are not participating in the sport or activity in a professional or semi-professional capacity you’re good to go.
Can I cancel my policy?
Sure you can, but it must be done with a 30-day written notice to AIG’s registered address. For annual policies, the refund will be calculated on a prorated basis, based in the unused period of coverage. Unfortunately, there will be no refund for per-trip insurance.
