Bursa Malaysia has launched a new one-stop interactive platform called the Bursa Fund Platform that seeks to empower its investors with the ability to find comprehensive information on their preferred unit trusts and wholesale funds conveniently. This, in turn, will enable them to make better informed investment decisions.
Established upon a “one platform, one location, one click” proposition, the new platform enables you to easily find details on participating funds, such as their daily fund prices, performance, ratings, fees and charges, as well as trustee information and documentations. Additionally, you can compare funds to see how they perform against each other, as well as create watchlists to track and monitor funds that are of interest to you. You can also communicate directly with participating fund managers through the platform if you want to start investing or request for personalised services.
The platform – which is already live – currently features both shariah and conventional funds with equity, fixed income, and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) mandates. Meanwhile, participating fund managers include:
Chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift said that the launch of the Bursa Fund Platform is in line with the exchange’s aspiration to make more investment options available to the public. “This fund platform will complement the current investment marketplace, as many investors have investments in both listed and unlisted markets,” he added.
Datuk Muhamad Umar also said that he believes the Bursa Fund Platform will serve as a solution to the industry’s current information inefficiencies. “Additionally, having more participation in this space will contribute to a more liquid and vibrant capital market,” he further remarked.
The new Bursa Fund Platform is accessible to all investors for free. You do not need to create an account to use it, but do note that if you wish to create a watchlist of funds, you are required to log in to your Bursa Marketplace account.
