Luno has teamed up with Shopee and Pizza Hut to reward its customers with additional Bitcoin and a free Pizza Hut voucher worth RM30 when they purchase Luno vouchers from the cryptocurrency exchange’s official Shopee store. The promotion, which will run until 1 July 2021, will see the Luno vouchers being sold from prices as low as RM0.66.

According to a statement by Luno, this promo was made in conjunction with Bitcoin Pizza Day, which falls on 22 May each year to commemorate the first Bitcoin transaction that was carried out. 22 May 2021 marked the eleventh-year anniversary of this transaction, during which cryptocurrency pioneer Laszlo Hanyecz paid for two large pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoin – equivalent to a value of over RM2 billion in today’s market.

There are three Bitcoin vouchers that are available for sale during this campaign period, catering to both new and existing customers. If you are new to Luno, then you can tap into two exclusive deals: a voucher that gives you extra RM25 worth of Bitcoin (priced at RM0.66), and another that entitles you to an additional RM100 worth of Bitcoin (priced at RM1.66). Meanwhile, the final voucher is open to both new and existing Luno customers, enabling you to earn an additional RM100 worth of Bitcoin (priced at RM90).

Do note that the two vouchers provided exclusively for new customers come with a minimum spend requirement when you redeem them on the Luno app. In other words, you will need to purchase a specified minimum amount of cryptocurrency in order to claim the bonus Bitcoin – so make sure to check the TnC beforehand!
