Versa has introduced a new feature, Versa Quests, aimed at helping users earn higher net returns on their savings through interactive challenges. By completing tasks, or “quests,” users can unlock additional “booster rewards” that enhance the returns on their Versa Cash or Versa Cash-i accounts.
The new feature provides an accessible and engaging way for users to maximise their savings while encouraging better financial habits. Tasks are simple to complete, making the feature accessible to a broad range of users, from first-time savers to experienced investors.
Teoh Wei-Xiang, CEO of Versa, shared his excitement about the feature’s potential to transform how Malaysians approach saving.
“This marks our first step in evolving from a transactional platform to an experiential one. With these booster rewards, our users can effortlessly maximise their savings. Just two days ago, a lecturer from Universiti Malaya shared his Versa Quests result with me, expressing his excitement about achieving more than 9 per cent per annum net returns in just a month,” he said.

One of the highlights of the feature is the Super Invest Quest, where users can earn an additional 1.0% p.a. in rewards by investing RM200, RM500, or RM1,000 into eligible Versa Invest funds. The simplicity of these quests ensures that users can easily participate and reap the benefits of increased savings.
Teoh emphasised the importance of making wealth management more approachable. “We believe building wealth should be approachable, not intimidating. It should be accessible and engaging. That is why we have incorporated fun and gamification into our platform, making learning about finance and managing wealth more enjoyable,” he explained.
Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), also applauded Versa’s efforts to make saving more accessible through technology. He described the initiative as a prime example of how local startups are leveraging innovation to empower Malaysians. “As the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, I am excited to witness the innovation and growth of startups like Versa. Their use of technology to empower Malaysians to save more is transforming wealth management, making it accessible and engaging for all,” he said.
Versa Quests is now available on the app. Malaysians can start earning more on their savings by downloading Versa from the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei App Gallery. For more information on Versa Quests, please visit Versa’s website at www.versa.com.my.
