RinggitPlus Academy, our popular personal finance workshop, has introduced a new session dedicated solely on investments for beginners which will kick off in May 2021. Seats are now available for booking online through our official Lazada store. 

The RinggitPlus Academy is a financial planning workshop designed for Malaysian working adults, and is conducted by RinggitPlus co-founder and Licensed Financial Planner (CFP), Hann Liew, as well as Azril Ikram, an Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) with RinggitPlus. Previously only available to corporate clients, we have now opened up the RinggitPlus Academy sessions to all Malaysians to help equip working adults with the necessary skills to manage their finances prudently.

As its name implies, “RinggitPlus Academy – The Ultimate Investment Guide For Beginners” is a new, comprehensive two-hour session that will cover two main segments: Investments and Debt Optimisation & Leveraged Investments. Over the course of the workshop, participants will be guided through a range of topics suited for both first-time investors and those seeking to learn more, such as:

• Techniques on investment fundamentals
• Building an investment portfolio that is suited for your risk profile
• Deep dive into investment “wrappers” such as unit trust funds, ETFs, and more
• Understanding asset allocation and the impact of diversification
• Key principles of leveraged investing

On top of that, the session will also include a live Q&A session with our licensed financial planners, and participants gain access to RinggitPlus financial tools such as our Budgeting Calculator and Retirement Calculator.

The “RinggitPlus Academy – The Ultimate Investment Guide For Beginners” workshop will be fully conducted online with the first session taking place on 22 May 2021 (Saturday) at 10am. The session will be conducted in small groups to allow better interaction between the host and participants – and therefore seats will be limited. In the event all slots are reserved, don’t worry! We are already working to set additional sessions in June.
