Imagine having 100 favorite brands with each having their own loyalty cards? That is going to take up spaces in your wallet.
CIMB, in partnership with Tesco, is offering you a debit card that can do both: pay for your groceries and accumulate Clubcard points at the same time!
Who can apply for CIMB Tesco Debit MasterCard?
Any individuals of 18 years old and above possessing an NRIC, passport and permanent resident status can avail themselves to this debit card.
All you need to do is standby a minimum of RM250 as a deposit and open a CIMB Tesco Savers Account before you can get your hand on this exclusive debit MasterCard.
Why is CIMB Tesco Debit MasterCard so unique?
This debit card not only functions as cash replacement for your grocery purchases, but also as Tesco loyalty card whereby you can earn unlimited Clubcard point for every Ringgit spend at the store nationwide.
It is easy to accumulate Clubcard points: for every RM1 spent at Tesco, you earn 1 Clubcard point; spend RM3, you receive extra 1 Clubcard point. You can also harvest Clubcard points outside Tesco spend, just make a purchase of RM6 to entitle for 1 Clubcard point.
What else this debit card can do for me?
If you are familiar with touch-and-go service, CIMB Tesco Debit MasterCard has the same feature which enables you to pay via tapping or waving the debit card at the contactless reader. Do make sure you have sufficient balance before swiping away.
An added PIN and Pay feature is also built in this debit card for an extra security.
What other card-related fees I need to pay?
There is an annual fee of RM18 for the issuance of CIMB Tesco Debit MasterCard from the second year onwards. The bank will also impose a replacement fee of RM12 if your debit card is stolen, lost or broken.
