Who can apply for Hong Leong Debit Card-i?

Any individuals aged 18 years old and above can apply for Hong Leong Debit Card-i to make cash withdrawal as well as pay for purchases. As long as you maintain a Current or Savings account with Hong Leong Bank or Hong Leong Islamic Bank.

What is purchase limit?

By default, the bank will extend you a retail purchase limit of RM2,000 daily, which can be increased up to RM5,000, for generic card, and RM10,000 for Priority Banking cardholders. Whereas for contactless transaction, the limit is capped at RM250 per transaction. 

This limit is intended for security reason; if your debit card-i is stolen or lost, chances are you will only lose up to the maximum amount set to your purchase limit. 

What is my debit card-i validity period?

Your Hong Leong Debit Card-i will have a 5-year validity period from the date of issuance. Before it reaches its expiry, you will receive an SMS to remind you to obtain a replacement card at the nearest Hong Leong Bank or Hong Leong Islamic Bank branches.

What should I do if my Hong Leong Debit Card-i got stolen or lost?

First thing first, you should not be panicking about it. All you have to do immediately is to contact 24-Hour Customer Service Center at 03 7626 8899 to report for lost card within Malaysia or overseas. For Priority Banking customers, you can dial toll-free number at 1800-18-9000 to notify the bank.

Alternatively, you can call any member of MasterCard Worldwide or its nearest affiliate for overseas card loss.
