What do I get from OCBC Debit MasterCard?

In this day and age, OCBC Debit MasterCard can challenge cash payment method with its even more extensive features such as cash withdrawal, fund transfers, as well as goods, services and bill payment – whether online or at the store.

It is even more convenient with OCBC Debit MasterCard as you don’t have to queue at the bank or ATM machines to draw some cash as it has a built-in contactless function!

Tell me about the contactless feature.

Paying with OCBC Debit MasterCard is easy when you activate the contactless function. This feature allows you to make payment by tapping the debit card on a POS terminal with contactless reader.

You can control how much you want to wave your debit card by cumulative purchase amount (e.g. RM250) or by cumulative transaction amount (e.g. max 3 transactions). It is worth noting that no PIN is required for transaction up to RM250.

Can I use this debit card to pay for petrol purchase?

Absolutely! You can insert your OCBC Debit MasterCard at the automatic fuel dispenser to pay for your petrol. Bear in mind that a pre-authorization amount of RM200 will be charged to your deposit account linked to your debit card.

This pre-authorization amount will only be held temporarily, on a condition that you have a sufficient credit balance in your account. If not, the transaction will be rejected.

What are the fees and charges associated with this debit card?

The one-time issuance and annual fee of this debit card is RM8. If you have lost it, you need to renew at RM12. Any withdrawals made at MEPS ATM networks cost you RM4 per withdrawal, whereas HOUSe withdrawal only charges RM1.
