How much money can I borrow?

HSBC Anytime Money offers loans ranging from RM6,000 to RM120,000, with repayment terms of one to five years. The sum of money you are eligible to borrow is linked to your monthly gross income. Simply put, the more you earn the more HSBC will allow you to borrow.

How much does this personal loan cost?

At the moment HSBC is waiving the usual processing fee charged for facilitating a loan. You will need to pay Government Stamp Duty on the amount you borrow, this is calculated at 0.50% of the total borrowed amount.

What do I need to apply for this personal loan?

To apply for HSBC Anytime Money Personal Financing-i you will need to provide some personal documents. There is no requirement to pay a deposit or find a guarantor.

Salaried Employee

  • Copy of NRIC.
  • Copy of latest three month’s pay slips, or last three months bank statements showing salary payment to your account.
  • Form BE, EA or EPF statement.
  • If employed for less than three months, a letter from your current employer.

  • Copy of latest Form B, EPF statement and copy of your audited financial statement and Profit and Loss account.
  • Copy of Business Registration Form.

How do I get my hands on the money?

Handing in your application only takes a minute but it may be a few business days before your HSBC personal loan is approved. Once the bank has signed off the paperwork fund will be disbursed to your HSBC bank deposit account.

If you do not already have an HSBC bank account you will need to open one for the purpose of receiving your loan.

How do I pay the money back?

The schedule will be laid out in your loan agreement but generally, repayments begin one month to the day from the date you received the borrowed money and continue at monthly intervals until the loan has been completely repaid.

Can I pay my HSBC Personal Loan off early?

Of course, you can settle your loan whenever it suits you. There are no penalty fees for clearing your loan before the end of its tenure. You should also receive a rebate on the unpaid Interest charged to the total loan.
