CIMB Bank has announced revisions to its cash rebate and bonus point structure for specific transactions made using CIMB Merchant Credit Cards at CIMB Bank credit card terminals.
The changes will take effect from 1 April 2025, with affected cardholders being given a 21-day notice period to prepare for the adjustments. While cash rebates and bonus points for certain transactions will be revised, the existing structure for all other transactions using CIMB Merchant Credit Cards will remain unchanged.

Under the new terms, Allianz-related transactions at CIMB Bank credit card terminals will see a reduction in cash rebates from 0.8% to 0.2%. Additionally, the bonus point conversion rate will be revised from RM1 = 2 bonus points to RM1 = 1 bonus point. Transactions at the Penang Swimming Club, Everpro, Nature Environment Products (NEP), and Crony Beauty will similarly undergo changes, with bonus points being halved from RM1 = 2 bonus points to RM1 = 1 bonus point. In addition, Everpro and NEP transactions, which previously offered a 1.0% cash rebate, will now only provide a 0.2% cash rebate.
Despite these adjustments, the cash rebates and bonus points for other transactions using CIMB Merchant Credit Cards will remain consistent. General transactions will continue to offer a 0.2% cash rebate, while bonus points for such transactions will remain at RM1 = 1 bonus point.
