RHB Banking Group has announced revisions to its loyalty programme and credit card terms, which will take effect from 9 April 2025. These changes include a new structure for RHB Loyalty Points, updated rewards benefits, and modifications to credit card terms and conditions.

Under the revised loyalty programme, RHB Loyalty Points will be split into two categories. Existing points from non-credit card transactions will be transferred to the new RHB LoyaltyPlus Points, while those earned through RHB credit cards as of 8 April 2025 will be divided equally between LoyaltyPlus Points and Loyalty Points. LoyaltyPlus Points will apply to eligible overseas, local airline, local hotel, and local travel spending, whereas Loyalty Points will cover other eligible expenditures. Both categories of points will have a three-year validity period.

Additionally, RHB Premier Visa Infinite Credit Card/-i holders will be able to earn 10 times the LoyaltyPlus Points on eligible overseas transactions if their total monthly spend reaches RM10,000 or more. Further enhancements include expanded access to Plaza Premium Lounges at key international airports, such as Incheon, Dubai, and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.

The bank has also updated the terms and conditions of several credit card products. These changes affect the RHB Premier Visa Infinite Credit Card/-i, RHB Visa Infinite Credit Card, RHB Rewards Credit Card/-i, RHB Rewards Motion Code™ Credit Card/-i, and RHB Visa MyEG Credit Card. The revised terms apply to both conventional and Islamic banking products.

For the affected cards, updates have been made to various clauses, including those related to general provisions, cardholder obligations, and specific reward policies. Customers are encouraged to review the updated terms for details on how the changes may impact their accounts. The revised terms and conditions are available on the bank’s official website.

In addition to these adjustments, RHB has announced that RHB Superdeals, its rewards redemption platform, will undergo scheduled maintenance on 9 April 2025, during which point redemptions will be unavailable. Customers will be able to resume redemptions from 10 April 2025. The bank has also revised the pricing of vouchers available through RHB Superdeals, effective the same date.

Customers are advised to visit the bank’s website for more information on these changes.

It’s confusing in fact how much loyalty plus or loyalty points entitled for transactions. If I spend MYR5k oversea how many point and what point earned? If I spend MYR5k booking airline ticket and hotel locally how many point and what point earned?

Overseas Spend: Spending RM5,000 overseas typically earns 8x LoyaltyPlus Points per RM1, totaling 40,000 points. If your total eligible monthly spend reaches RM10,000 or more, the rate increases to 10x, giving you 50,000 points.

Local Airline and Hotel Bookings: Spending RM5,000 on local airline tickets and hotel bookings earns 3x LoyaltyPlus Points per RM1, totaling 15,000 points.

It’s always best to refer to the official RHB website or contact their customer service for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
