TVET Job Postings Surge To 343,836

Rising demand for skilled workers generated 343,836 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) job opportunities on the MYFutureJobs platform between January and June this year, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said.

He said this reflects growing recognition of technical and vocational skills in the job market, in line with industry needs amid ongoing technological transformation and digitalisation.

Pay And Prospects Vary By Sector

Ramanan said TVET-related job opportunities advertised via MYFutureJobs offer an average monthly salary of RM3,658, with some fields paying more depending on experience, job location, and the competency certifications held by graduates.

Demand spans sectors including engineering, electrical and electronics, ICT, construction, automotive and semiconductors. Ramanan said this shows TVET graduates have broad career prospects across industries driving the country’s economic growth.

Ministry To Expand MYFutureJobs Reach

Ramanan said the ministry will continue expanding MYFutureJobs services through career programmes at training institutions, polytechnics, universities and Manpower Department campuses, to help more TVET students access quality career opportunities.

This follows an earlier update from Ramanan, who said MYFutureJobs had 96,700 active listings as of 30 June. Almost 20% of those offered salaries above RM5,000 a month, a range TVET roles can reach with further upskilling and certification.
