Citi has announced that it will be discontinuing two of its credit cards in the coming months, the Shell Citi Gold Visa Card and the CitiBusiness Visa Card.

The Shell Citi Gold Visa will be discontinued effective 15 December 2020. This petrol cashback credit card offered rebates of between 4-8% on Shell fuel spending – depending on your overall expenditure each month – capped at a monthly maximum of RM64 in cashback.
“We will reach out to you via email or SMS for more detailed information on the transition of available Shell cash back balance, outstanding balance, credit limit, standing instructions and bill payment instructions,” said Citi in a statement.

Meanwhile, the CitiBusiness Visa Card, which offered 1.5x rewards points for every Ringgit spent, will be discontinued from 30 October 2020 onwards. “Please stay tuned for more communications from us on your account information, outstanding balance, Citi Rewards points, credit limit, standing instructions and bill payment instructions,” Citi’s statement read.
