(Update on 10 August 2020: Citi has announced that it is discontinuing the Cashback Surprise campaign effective today, although the bank did not share any explanation with regard to its decision.)

Citi has launched a cashback campaign for its credit cardholders called Citi’s Cashback Surprise campaign. Within the campaign period of 1 July to 31 August 2020, there will be four special campaign days during which Citi cardholders can win up to RM200 in cashback.

To participate in this campaign, you just need to spend a minimum of RM20 in a single receipt two times on a specified Campaign Day. You will then be entitled to one cashback amount of either RM0.20, RM2, RM20, or RM200 and this will be instantly communicated to you via SMS notification.

According to Citi, the cashback entitlement is randomly determined and will be given out to a total of 46,330 qualifying cardmembers each Campaign Day on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be four Campaign Days during this two-month campaign period, with Citi announcing when it takes place a day before each Campaign Day via email and/or SMS. You can get up to one cashback reward per Campaign Day, amounting to a total of four rewards per campaign period, and your cashback will be credited to your account within 12 weeks after the campaign period.

Citi’s Cashback Surprise Campaign is open to all Citi principal credit cardholders, except for CitiBusiness Signature, Citi Business Gold Card, and Citi Staff Corporate Card customers.
