Citibank is currently running a credit limit increase campaign, which rewards credit cardholders with a Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet reload PIN worth RM38 when they increase the credit limit of their cards.

Ongoing until 30 November, this campaign is only applicable to existing principal credit cardholders. To join, you will need to apply to Citibank to increase the credit limit of your card via an approved channel – namely the bank’s website, direct sales, telesales, phone banking, and branch services. On top of that, you’re also required to submit one or more of the following supporting documents to verify and update your income information:

• Payslips
  • Salaried individuals: Latest one month
  • Commission earners with basic salary: Latest three months
  • Commission earners without basic salary: Latest six months
• Latest EPF statement (last 12 months)
• Latest EA form
• Latest complete set of Borang B (self-employed) or Borang BE (salaried), with LHDN receipt and proof of tax paid

Meanwhile, foreigners working in Malaysia who would like to take part in the campaign must attach two additional documents: your passport and work permit. Both documents must still be valid for at least a year.

Note that your application for credit limit increase must be approved by 31 December 2020 in order to qualify for this campaign. Although Citibank said that it will take about 14 days to process your application, it may take longer than that if your income document is incomplete or requires further clarification. Knowing this, it may be a good idea to apply early to avoid disappointment. Also, each cardholder is entitled to only one gift during the whole campaign period.

Once your application has been approved, you can expect to receive your reward within three months from the end of the campaign. The bank will send the TNG reload PIN to you either via SMS or email, after which you’ll need to redeem the PIN within its validity period.
