ShopeePay has revised the amount of Shopee Coins cashback for DuitNow QR payments, from 3% previously to “up to 300 coins cashback” per transaction. This comes only a few days after ShopeePay revised the 3% rate to 1% on 1 May.

With the revised cashback amount, each user will be able to earn up to 300 coins cashback, three times per day. However, it isn’t known what the rate of coins cashback is.

Other details of the cashback, meanwhile, remain unchanged. The coins cashback will be available daily for the first 10,000 offline transactions on a first-come, first-served basis. There’s also still no mention of the end date of this offer. Additionally, there’s also no mention of the minimum spend that users will have to meet in order to qualify for the coins cashback. 

As usual, you will also not be able to stack the cashback with any other rewards. You will also not be eligible for the cashback if you have already used any 1 SEN ShopeePay voucher rewards. 

Most importantly, you can only earn the coins cashback by paying using ShopeePay’s Scan function on a ShopeePay or DuitNow QR code. It will not work if the merchants scan your unique QR code. If your transaction is eligible to earn coins cashback, the amount will be shown to you on the payment confirmation page. The coins will then be instantly credited to your ShopeePay account.

The coins cashback promotion – which has been running since January this year – was introduced as part of a New Year’s Day deal, and was limited to 20 redemptions per day.
