Bursa Malaysia Berhad has launched its new Bursa Digital Research platform, described as a “multi-faceted research portal” that seeks to help investors make better informed investment decisions and to improve the public’s financial literacy. It serves as an extra source for research and data analysis for those who are looking for information on prospective investments.

According to Bursa Malaysia, the new portal will give investors a more direct and transparent method to better understand the business operations and value propositions of public listed companies (PLCs), as well as discover the companies’ price points. It will also complement the Bursa Broadcast platform to enrich investors’ capital market understanding.

At present, all the content on Bursa Digital Research can be grouped into four main content categories, namely:

  • Market Updates: In-house research analysis offering latest insights into the capital market, covering a range of topics such as global and local market trends.
  • Bursa Blitz: FAQs containing details on the latest development and future prospects of various PLCs’ businesses and industries.
  • Initial Public Offering (IPO): Factsheets regarding IPO launches, as well as quarterly performance reports.
  • Exchange Traded Fund (ETF): Monthly performance reports on ETFs that are available on the exchange.

Some of the PLCs that are currently featured on the Bursa Digital Research portal include Solarvest Holdings Berhad, IHH Healthcare Berhad, and Aurelius Technologies Berhad.

“Bursa Digital Research aims to provide an additional resource to help investors gain market insight and keep abreast of the latest developments in the stock market,” said the chief executive officer of Bursa Malaysia, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, adding that the introduction of this platform will invite greater investor participation on Bursa Malaysia.

Bursa Malaysia further shared that it will continue to add more content to Bursa Digital Research from time to time. This is with the aim of refining the platform in a bid to increase information transparency, address information gaps in the market, boost investor confidence, and accelerate investment decision making.

Aside from Bursa Digital Research, Bursa Malaysia has also previously rolled out various other initiatives to facilitate conducive investor education and engagement experience. Some of these efforts include e-learning platform Bursa Academy and virtual learning “Mirror, Learn and Trade” (MLT) programme.
