Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is running an initiative to offer special rates for compound notices, in conjunction with the commemoration of Federal Territories Day (1 February) and the golden jubilee of Kuala Lumpur City (1972 – 2022). Already ongoing, the public can take advantage of it until 30 June 2022.
In a statement, DBKL said that the special rates covered unpaid traffic compound notices and scheduled rates for offences based on the general offence compound notes. It also specified that the initiative will not apply to blacklisted offenders and general offences that are not in the scheduled rates.
For traffic offences specifically, the special compound rates are offered as per the following schedule:
The scheduled rates for other offences based on the general offence compound notes also saw substantial rebates, with some of the rates reduced from a maximum of RM2,000 to RM100. These include the offences of trading without licence and keeping dogs without licence.
Finally, DBKL noted that the public can check and pay their compound notices at all DBKL payment counters if they have a copy of the original notice or a printout from SPJ system. Those who do not have their notices, on the other hand, should pay in cash at all Pos Malaysia counters nationwide. Meanwhile, members of the public who prefer to pay online can do so via JomPAY through banking apps, or the MOBIS-DBKL app.
