We’ve got excellent news for you if you plan to become an OCBC credit card and savings/current account holder. The bank is giving you a combined RM80 rebate for doing very little in return. This figure comprises a RM50 rebate for credit card use and a RM30 rebate for online bill payment.

The RM50 credit card rebate applies to new cardholders only. All you have to do is apply for an OCBC credit card as a principal cardholder.

If you’ve been approved, just make three swipes within 45 days of your card approval date and the 50 ringgit is all yours. The sum will be credited into your credit card account at least 60 days from the approval date.

To get the RM30 rebate, you’ll need to receive an SMS from the bank inviting you to register for OCBC Online Banking service. If you do sign up for it, you’ll have to then make one bill payment via the service. The list of eligible bills is stated in the promotion’s T&Cs document.

Upon doing this, the RM30 will be credited into your account eight to ten weeks from the end of the campaign period. If you don’t have an OCBC credit card, however, you’ll only receive RM20 in rebates.

Do take note that the campaign is not open to existing OCBC Online Banking customers, and no further rebates will be given out once the RM150,000 Rebate Fund has been exhausted, even if you fulfil all eligibility criteria. Promotion ends on 30 June.
