Hong Leong Bank’s (HLB) integrated travel lifestyle platform, HLB HoliYay, is currently running the Let’s Go HoliYay campaign, which offers its cardholders a range of discounts and rewards on a variety of travel-related services.
Ongoing until 14 January 2021, the campaign is open to all new and existing HLB debit/-i and credit cardholders. These are some of the highlights in HLB’s Let’s Go HoliYay campaign.
Period: 15 September 2020 – 14 January 2021
As many as 12 world-class Malaysian holiday packages are up for grabs as grand prizes during this four-month campaign period, with three winners being named every month. Each package offers a 3-day-2-night hotel stay for two people at a variety of locations in Malaysia, with different hotels/locations being featured each month. The packages currently showcased are:
Aside from the grand prizes, HLB is also giving away 400 luggage bags as consolation prizes throughout the whole campaign (100 winners each month).
To participate in this campaign, earn entries by spending with your HLB card; every RM10 of retail spend will get you one entry. Meanwhile, cardholders who activate a new HLB credit card can gain 10 entries. At the end of every campaign month, the bank will pick 300 eligible candidates at random, who will then be contacted by the bank to answer a question to determine the winners.
Period: 15 September – 31 December 2020
Get up to 30% off on hotel bookings when you book your vacation stay with Traveloka and pay with your HLB cards. There are three tiers of discounts available:
Surprisingly, the campaign’s T&C did not specify any cap on the discounts, so you may actually benefit quite a bit from this. Note also that offer is valid for all hotels and room types, except for hotel bookings that require you to pay upon check-in. To redeem this discount, remember to key in the coupon code (HLBHOLIYAY) during the checkout process.
There will also be a Double Date flash sale, where additional discounts are offered on 10 October, 11 November, and 12 December – so mark these dates on your calendar if you’re keen to check them out!
Period: 15 September 2020 – 4 January 2021 (15 weeks)
HLB cardholders will also have the chance to earn weekly cashback rewards of up to RM10 when they spend a minimum of RM30 for their travel expenses (travel, hotel, and airline expenses) with HLB cards each week. Eligible expenses include both local and international transactions.
Designed to encourage cardholders to spend consistently over a few weeks, the campaign starts out by offering you a weekly cashback of RM5 if you spend at least RM30 every week, up to 4 consecutive weeks. If you meet that requirement, the cashback amount will then be “upgraded” to RM10 in the fifth week, and will remain so for the following weeks – until the final Week 15 – as long as you continue to meet the weekly minimum spend. Note that if you miss out on one week, you will have to restart and work your way back up again for the “upgraded” cashback.
Additionally, the total cashback that can be earned throughout the entire campaign period is capped at RM130, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The reward will be credited to your account within eight weeks after the end of the campaign period.
Period: 1 September – 31 December 2020 (new AirAsia cardholders) & 15 September – 28 December 2020 (all AirAsia cardholders)
