Five Family Members Can Now Share One Alliance Bank Visa Virtual Credit Card

Alliance Bank has added a Supplementary Visa Virtual Credit Card feature that lets up to five family members share one Visa Virtual Credit Card (VCC), each with defined spending limits and full account visibility through the allianceonline mobile app.

The update was part of a wider VCC relaunch on 31 July 2026 at Sunway Pyramid, held alongside the three-day Alliance Bank x Sayang Green 2.0 event running until 2 August.

Rewards Are Now Redeemed Instantly

The enhanced VCC offers instant reward redemption across more than 60 participating merchants, replacing the card’s previous points-accumulation model.

Existing features remain, including dynamic card numbers generated for each transaction, Flexi Payment Plans of up to 12 months, and a Freeze and Unfreeze function through the app.

Meet The New Faces Of VCC

The bank also unveiled media personality Chan Fong and entrepreneur, DJ, and content creator Perry Kuan as the card’s new ambassadors.

Kuan said most of his day happens online, from shopping to travel bookings. Having a virtual card that protects his transactions gives him peace of mind.

Chan Fong pointed to how far payments have evolved, from cash to cards to fully digital. He said what matters most to him now is security and control, and he feels the VCC delivers both, regardless of age or how tech-savvy someone is.

Alliance Bank group chief consumer banking officer Gan Pai Li said the enhancements reflect the bank’s “Bank For Life” approach of adapting its products to everyday consumer lifestyles.

A Card Built For Sustainability

The launch was held alongside Sayang Green 2.0, a consumer programme encouraging Malaysians to take practical steps towards more sustainable living. Alliance Bank said the VCC’s fully digital, paperless design supports this by removing the need for a physical card.

Visitors can also sign up for the VCC at a dedicated booth or explore sustainable products from Sayang Green partners, including Earthya, Elexer, Plus Xnergy, ZP, Bio-Home, NooTrees and Aragvi.

More Ways To Pay From 4 August

Alliance Bank Visa Credit Card support for Apple Pay is set to officially launch on 4 August 2026, adding to the card’s existing integration with Samsung Pay and Google Pay.

To mark the launch, cardholders can get RM200 off Apple products at selected retailers, including Machine, Switch, UR by Switch, and Thunder Match, with a minimum spend of RM3,000 under a 0% Instalment Payment Plan.
