Earn Daily Returns On Your Everyday Spending With Money+
Author Avatar

An e-wallet balance usually sits there between payments, ready for the next Shopee order, DuitNow QR payment or bill. With Money+ by ShopeePay, that balance can earn daily returns while it waits. You can still pay at Shopee checkout or scan a DuitNow QR code at shops straight from your Money+ balance.

There’s no lock-in period, which means you don’t have to leave your money in Money+ for a fixed time. You can use your balance when you need it.

Where Your Money+ Balance Goes

The money you keep in Money+ is placed in the Eastspring Investments Islamic E-Duit Fund, a Shariah-compliant fund. Money+ is regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC)**.

Because your balance sits in a fund, it works differently from a savings account. It isn’t e-money or a bank deposit, and it isn’t protected by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM). Your returns depend on how much the fund earns, so they aren’t guaranteed.

Up To 5% p.a.* On Your First RM10,000

From 1 September to 30 November 2026, Money+ offers up to 5% p.a.* (per year) on the first RM10,000. The rate comes in two parts. The first part is the fund’s actual return, which is what the fund itself earns. The second part is a 2% p.a. Bonus Top Up, which is an extra amount paid by ShopeePay Malaysia.

To earn the Bonus Top Up on a given day, you need at least RM200 in Money+. On a day your balance is below RM200, it still earns the actual fund return, but not the bonus. Anything above RM10,000 also earns the actual fund returns only.

The Bonus Top Up is paid only while the campaign budget lasts, and it’s subject to the campaign’s terms and conditions. The fund return can also go up or down, so the full 5% p.a. isn’t guaranteed.

Money+ has also raised its holding limit from RM20,000 to RM30,000, so you can keep up to RM30,000 in your Money+ balance.

RM2,000 In Money+ Could Earn Up To RM8.22 In 30 Days

For illustrative purposes, RM2,000 kept in Money+ for 30 days could earn up to RM8.22, assuming the fund performance returns at 3% p.a.* over that time. Of that, up to RM4.93 would come from the fund returns and RM3.29 from the additional Bonus Top Up. The table below shows how other Money+ balances may grow over the same 30 days.

Money+ BalanceIllustrated Fund Return (3% p.a.*)Total Over 30 Days, Including Bonus Top Up (Up To)
RM500RM1.23RM2.05
RM2,000RM4.93RM8.22
RM5,000RM12.33RM20.55
RM10,000RM24.66RM41.10
RM20,000RM49.32RM65.75

The RM20,000 row earns the same Bonus Top Up as RM10,000 because the bonus only applies to the first RM10,000 with a minimum holding of RM 200. These amounts are for illustration only and aren’t guaranteed. They assume the fund performance returns at 3% p.a.* for all 30 days. Your actual returns may be lower if the fund returns less than 3% p.a., or if the Bonus Top Up campaign budget runs out. Amounts are calculated without compounding and rounded to the nearest sen.

Daily Returns Are Paid On Working Days

Returns are paid into your Money+ on working days, based on your balance at 2pm that day. If you top up before 2pm on a working day, you’ll see the returns by 9pm the same day. If you top up after 2pm, you’ll see them on the next working day. Returns for weekends and public holidays are added together and paid on the next working day.

Money+ Eligibility And Activation

You can sign up if you’re a Malaysian citizen aged 18 and above with a fully activated ShopeePay account. You also need to have completed eKYC, which is the identity check you do in the app. The campaign’s other eligibility criteria also apply.

If you don’t have the ShopeePay app yet, you can download it from the App Store or Google Play. To activate Money+, open the ShopeePay app and complete eKYC for your account if you haven’t already. After that, fill in the Money+ registration form and top up your balance. You can start with as little as RM10, but you need at least RM200 in Money+ to earn the Bonus Top Up.

Earning On Money You Already Keep

If you already keep money in your e-wallet for Shopee orders and QR payments, Money+ gives that balance a chance to earn daily returns. You can still use the same balance to pay.

Visit the Money+ page to activate Money+ in three steps and start earning daily returns. Terms and Conditions apply.
