AirAsia has extended the validity of its AirAsia Unlimited Pass to 30 June 2021. Prior to this, the pass was deemed valid for travel until 2 March 2021, so the new expiry date has extended the validity of the unlimited pass by about four months.
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass allows customers to take “unlimited” flights between Kuala Lumpur and Australia, India, China, Korea, and Japan for a year. The pass is only valid for the base fare and isn’t inclusive of optional add-ons, airport charges, taxes and regulatory fees, or any other charges. The terms and conditions also state that flight redemptions could be unavailable on public holidays, school breaks, and weekends.
Priced at RM499, the pass went on sale earlier in March this year – before Malaysia banned international travel with the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO) on 18 March. International flights are still currently prohibited. It is not known when the Malaysian government will allow overseas travel to resume.
In its statement on Facebook, AirAsia said that the updated travel period should be reflected on the “AirAsia Deals” page under the “My Purchases” tab for those who have purchased the pass. “We hope this gives you more time to plan your travels to your favourite destination when the time is right,” said the airline.
