KLIA Transit Offers 50% Off Return Fares To Putrajaya
Author Avatar

If you’re heading to Putrajaya for the National Day celebrations, you can get 50% off selected KLIA Transit return fares from 29 to 31 August 2026.

The promotion gives you a cheaper option for getting to Putrajaya without driving, with discounted return tickets available on three routes.

How To Get The 50% Discount

You can buy the tickets from 26 to 31 August through the KLIA Ekspres website or mobile app.

The promotion applies to:

  • KL Sentral ↔ Putrajaya & Cyberjaya
  • Bandar Tasik Selatan ↔ Putrajaya & Cyberjaya
  • Putrajaya & Cyberjaya ↔ Salak Tinggi

The discount is applied automatically when you select an eligible KLIA Transit return ticket, so there’s no promo code to enter.

Both trips must be completed on the travel date selected when booking, and the ticket can only be used between the stations selected. The promotional fare is also non-refundable and non-transferable.

The promotion is valid for KLIA Transit services only and does not apply to KLIA Ekspres.

Getting Around Putrajaya

The discounted travel period coincides with several Merdeka events, including the National Day parade on 31 August and its full-dress rehearsal on 29 August.

Once you arrive at Putrajaya Sentral, you can take the free shuttle bus service provided by Prasarana and Perbadanan Putrajaya to various event locations around Putrajaya.

ERL will also give an exclusive Merdeka Pack to the first 200 passengers arriving at Putrajaya and Cyberjaya Station on 31 August.

If you’re planning to attend the celebrations, taking the train could help you avoid driving and looking for parking in Putrajaya while also saving on your return fare.
