Between now until 13 September 2020, travellers can tap into Malaysia Airlines’ (MAS) latest Fixed Fares Deals promotion, which offers fixed fares for all economy seats on flights to domestic destinations, starting from RM179. The one-way, all-in fare is applicable for the travel period from now until 16 December 2020.
Depending on your travel preference, you can choose from MAS’ three Economy fare options: Lite, Basic, and Flex. For those travelling within the peninsula or within East Malaysia, you can book your seats at a price of between RM179 to RM259. Meanwhile, flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak will cost between RM239-RM319, whereas flights to Sabah are priced between RM299-RM379. Here’s the list of flight prices in full:

To recap, the Lite fare is best suited for those who are travelling light, with basic benefits such as complimentary meals, in-flight entertainment, and a 7kg cabin baggage allowance. The Basic fare gives you slightly more perks, including an additional 20kg check-in baggage allowance. Meanwhile, the Flex option is for those who want to take full advantage of MAS’ premium services, with advantages such as 35kg check-in luggage allowance, priority check-in, and the flexibility to board earlier on the day of travel (subject to availability).

According to the group chief executive officer of Malaysia Airlines, Captain Izham Ismail, MAS hopes to further boost domestic travel via its Fixed Fare Deals promotion, with more than 300,000 seats on offer. He also noted that there has been a growing appetite for domestic travel since the start of the recovery movement control order (RMCO), with the highest bookings recorded during the long Merdeka weekend. Popular destinations include Penang, Langkawi, and Johor Bahru.
