Grab And Citi Launch Co-Branded Credit Card In The Philippines

In the Philippines, Grab and Citi teamed up to launch a co-branded credit card on 11 June. The Citi-Grab credit card will be introduced in Thailand later this year before being rolled out to other Southeast Asian markets.

Benefits of the Citi-Grab credit card include 10x Grab points earning on Grab spend and 3x more points from Citi on dining, online, and entertainment purchases. Cardholders will also be able to use Citi points to pay for Grab services and get free Grab vouchers when they use their Citi credit card to top up the GrabPay wallet.

Furthermore, card members will enjoy a Platinum Tier upgrade for the first 6 months and get 12 free Grab rides after spending PHP10,000 (USD200) within 60 days of receiving their card. The membership fees for principal and supplementary cardholders are also waived for the first year.

This is the latest expansion of an ongoing regional partnership between Grab and Citi dating back to 2016, when Citi cardholders were first allowed to use their earned points to pay for rides on the Grab platform.

There is no indication yet as to when the Citi-Grab credit card will make its way to our shores. Currently, we do have the Citi Cash Back Credit Card which offers 10% cashback on all Grab expenditure.
