If you’ve been buying things from PrestoMall, you will soon be able to get a little more out of your expenditure on the e-commerce platform as it introduces the BonusLink loyalty point programme for its consumers.
This basically means that your purchases on PrestoMall can now earn you BonusLink points, which you can then use to redeem rewards on the same platform as well. The primary advantage to this is all about the convenience as you will not have to go through the hassle of moving to another channel to collect your gifts.
That said, there is a caveat to the issuance of the BonusLink points. While PrestoMall will be making BonusLink points its sole loyalty point issuance programme, the points will not be awarded for the purchase of apparel products and shoes.
This arrangement is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between Presto Universe Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PUC Bhd, and BonusKad Loyalty Sdn Bhd (BLSB).
“The collaboration will improve the attractiveness of PrestoMall as an e-commerce site by introducing the BonusLink loyalty point issuance programme as well as BLSB’s sole and exclusive channel for BonusLink point redemption by BonusLink members on PrestoMall site,” said PUC Bhd in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
BonusLink, which is Malaysia’s first premier consumer rewards programme with 9 million members nationwide, is well known for its collaboration with various organisations, but most prominently Shell and Parkson.
PUC Bhd has also maintained that PrestoMall will retain the rights to explore other loyalty point issuance programmes, whether as non-key strategic partnerships or for its marketing campaigns.
PrestoMall has previously partnered with B Infinite to allow PrestoMall consumers to collect BPoints. BPoints are collected when you purchase selected products that will give you BPoints. When you have racked up enough points, you can then redeem them at the checkout page of specific items. However, PrestoMall has posted a notification on its website stating that redemptions are temporarily unavailable.
