AEON Bank (M) Berhad has launched AEON Bank Biz, a Shariah-compliant business banking solution for Malaysian enterprises. Its flagship product, the Business Current Account-i, is paired with integrated cash management tools to support day-to-day operations and financial growth.

First Phase Targets AEON Ecosystem Vendors and Partners

The initial rollout is to onboard vendors, suppliers, and business partners within the AEON ecosystem, as well as selected stakeholders. This targeted phase aims to connect AEON’s retail and financial network into a seamless value chain. The service will be made available to a wider range of Malaysian businesses in the near future.

AI-Powered Tools to Simplify Onboarding and Credit Checks

CEO, YM Raja Datin Paduka Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz, explained that AEON Bank Biz extends the bank’s Shariah-compliant and inclusive approach into business banking. By using AI-powered systems, the platform streamlines complex processes such as account onboarding and credit checks, enabling faster approvals. 

The hybrid model also supports secure and efficient operations, aligning with the features already offered in AEON Bank’s personal banking services.

Business Current Account-i Offers Profit Rate With No Minimum Balance

Businesses joining AEON Bank Biz gain access to the Business Current Account-i, which offers a profit rate of 1.5% per annum* without a minimum balance requirement. Merchants registered with AEON Credit Service Malaysia (ACSM) receive an additional 1% per annum profit rate*, giving them a potential total of 2.5% p.a, *terms and conditions apply.

Cash Management Tools Designed for Efficiency

The platform’s cash management features help businesses handle payments, payroll, and vendor transactions more effectively. RENTAS and DuitNow transfers support both single and bulk payments, with a bulk approval function to streamline high-volume transactions. Access management tools allow business owners to assign specific permissions to team members, while live chat support offers real-time assistance when needed.

Registration Open for Non-AEON Businesses

While AEON Bank Biz is currently focused on AEON and ACSM’s existing vendors and suppliers, local entrepreneurs outside the ecosystem can register their interest in the Business Current Account-i through the AEON Bank Biz website. 

The AEON Bank Biz app is available on the App Store and Google Play, giving businesses access to banking services on the go.
