Alliance Bank and Alliance Islamic Bank are running a debit card campaign from 1 August to 31 October 2026, with RM120,000 in monthly lucky draw cashback and RM37,500 in guaranteed cashback for a limited group of cardholders. Only online spending and overseas spending count towards it, so debit card payments at shops in Malaysia will not qualify.
Your card also has to be enabled for online and overseas spending. If it is not, call the bank at 03-5516 9988 or go to a branch to turn the services on. After that, participation is automatic, with no form to fill in and no SMS to send.
You must also be 18 or above, and your card must be linked to an active current or savings account, including Islamic accounts offered under the Commodity Murabahah contract.
The first offer is a lucky draw with 400 winners of RM100 cashback every month. Your entries come from how much you spend in a calendar month.. Every RM1,000 you spend online with Malaysian merchants gives you five entries, while every RM500 you spend overseas gives you 20 entries.
That works out to eight times more entries per ringgit for overseas spending. Entries from both spend types are added together for your monthly total. Note there is no rollover of spend, the counter is reset at the end of every month.
The second offer pays a guaranteed RM50 cashback if you spend RM500 or more in a single month across local online and overseas transactions combined. Only the first 750 qualifying cardholders get it, based on when transactions post in the bank’s system, and you can claim it once during the whole campaign.
This offer covers new customers who apply for and activate a debit card during the campaign period, and existing cardholders who have not made any online or overseas debit card transactions in the 12 months before the campaign started.
If you already shop online with your Alliance debit card, you will not qualify.
Cash withdrawals at overseas ATMs do not qualify, and neither do cash advances, Quick Cash, balance transfers, or instalment plans. Bill payments made through internet banking, JomPay, and FPX transfers are also excluded, even though many people treat these as online spending. Payments to government bodies are out too, covering tax, fines, and court costs, along with charity donations and gambling transactions.
Overseas spending through Dynamic Currency Conversion will still get you entries, even if you’re paying an overseas merchant with ringgit. Just bear in mind that using DCC incurs extra fees.
The cashback will be credited on a fixed schedule. August draw winners are paid by 31 December 2026, September by 31 January 2027, and October by 28 February 2027, with the RM50 cashback also due by 28 February 2027. You’ll be informed via SMS after the cashback is credited, so keep your banking details updated.
