As Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) continue to adapt to a fast-changing business environment, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (Alliance Bank) hosted the second edition of its flagship BizSmart® Business Conference 2025 (ABBBC2025). The event called on local businesses to challenge conventional limits and embrace new possibilities for growth.

Addressing The Real Challenges Facing SMEs

The conference explored key issues shaping the SME landscape, including digital disruption, access to financing, talent shortages, and changing customer expectations. Beyond recognising the resilience of Malaysian businesses, ABBBC2025 provided practical tools, expert insights, and networking opportunities to help SMEs strengthen and future-proof their business models.

A Platform For Innovation And Collaboration

The one-day conference brought together more than 25 industry leaders across nine sessions, drawing over 700 entrepreneurs, business owners, and innovators. The turnout reflected growing interest among SMEs in strategies that support sustainable and scalable business growth.

Alliance Bank’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Kellee Kam, said that building meaningful connections with business owners remains central to the Bank’s approach. “Our focus is not just on being noticed in the marketplace, but on building lasting relationships with entrepreneurs and business owners. Through the ABBBC2025, we are proving that we stand alongside them, championing their growth with actions that matter,” he said.

Relevance Across Industries And Business Stages

ABBBC2025 stood out for its relevance across diverse sectors, from retail and F&B to technology and professional services. The conference was designed to be accessible, with programming and pricing suited for businesses at different stages of development.

Participants gained exposure to practical insights, investor connections, and mentorship opportunities. The event also fostered a collaborative environment, where thought leaders shared experiences that encouraged entrepreneurs to innovate and adapt in a competitive marketplace.

Focus On Innovation, Leadership, And Digital Transformation

Reflecting the evolving needs of SMEs, the conference featured curated sessions that addressed timely topics. A women-focused panel highlighted the achievements of female entrepreneurs who are redefining leadership within their industries. Another session examined the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital disruption, with panellists discussing how businesses can harness technology as a competitive advantage.

Speakers also explored how entrepreneurs can reignite growth by anticipating and adapting to shifting customer demands, especially in maturing or saturated markets.

Alliance Bank’s Continued Commitment To SME Growth

ABBBC2025 is part of Alliance Bank’s wider BizSmart® initiative, which provides SMEs with access to financial resources, business insights, and networking opportunities to support their growth.
