Bank Rakyat’s Akaun Pelaburan-i Rizq Plus has surpassed RM1 billion in total investments since its launch in 2022, with more than 250,000 Malaysians holding the Shariah-compliant account, according to Bank Rakyat chairman Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak.
The account has also produced its fifth millionaire through the Cabutan Jutawan draw, with 68-year-old Kajang retiree Aziz Mohamed becoming the latest winner. The next draw is scheduled for October.
Rizq Plus customers don’t need to sign up separately for the Cabutan Jutawan draw. Any active account with a monthly average balance earns entries automatically, based on how much you hold and how long you’ve held it.
Every RM5,000 in your average monthly balance earns one entry. The number of entries is then multiplied by a tenure weightage based on how long you’ve held the account.
| Account Age | Weightage |
| 3–12 months | 1x |
| 1–2 years | 2x |
| 3–5 years | 4x |
| More than 5 years | 5x |
For example, a customer with a RM10,000 average balance who has held the account for more than three years would receive eight entries for that draw. The entries are recalculated for each draw based on the previous month’s balance, so they do not accumulate or carry over.
With five millionaires produced from a customer base of more than 250,000, the historical ratio works out to roughly one millionaire for every 50,000 customers. This is only a rough estimate based on past results, and should not be treated as the official odds for any individual draw.
Rizq Plus also offers tiered profit rates, with higher balances qualifying for higher rates. Under Bank Rakyat’s rate table for the period starting 15 August 2026:
| Balance | Profit Rate (Per Year) |
| RM0 – RM4,999.99 | 0.04% |
| RM5,000 – RM9,999.99 | 0.09% |
| RM10,000 – RM49,999.99 | 0.14% |
| RM50,000 – RM999,999.99 | 1.00% |
| RM1,000,000 and above | 2.44% |
The RM100 minimum needed to open an account falls within the lowest tier, which pays 0.04% a year. The rate jumps to 1.00% once your balance reaches RM50,000, while balances of RM1 million and above receive the highest listed rate of 2.44%.
