CIMB Group Holdings will once again be hosting its annual flagship event, The Cooler Earth Sustainability Summit, set to take place next week from 11 to 21 September 2023. As the fifth instalment, this upcoming occasion carries the theme “Sustainability in Action: Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow” and will be made accessible for free to all individuals.

In its statement, the bank said that this year’s Summit will include a range of activities to connect businesses with key players and experts from various segments, allowing business owners to better grasp the opportunities that may arise from the current shift towards a green economy. Among other things, participants will be able to join a curated series of keynote presentations, panel discussions, masterclasses, and networking events with exclusive in-person client access across the ASEAN region (aside from Malaysia, other countries that are also participating in this event include Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Cambodia).

In addition to these, there is also a series of on-ground experiential learning that will bring participants to locations such as the Setiu Wetlands (Terengganu), Kampung Kolosunan (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah), City Sprouts Urban Farm (Singapore), and SchneiTec Solar Power (Cambodia). Pulitzer-Prize-winning author Jared Diamond and world-renowned explorer Sir Robert Swan, too, will be sharing some words.
