CIMB Group Holdings is back once more with The Cooler Earth Sustainability Summit, this time with the theme “Facilitating a Just Transition”. Set to take place between 20 to 24 September 2022, the summit will bring together various stakeholders – including industry experts, policymakers, and global citizens – to discuss the challenges and solutions to a sustainable future.

Specifically, this year’s summit seeks to reflect on the global efforts that have been carried out thus far on climate change and other relevant areas following the UN Climate Change Conference 2021 (COP26) that took place in Glasgow. It also aims to enable participants to look for climate solutions and social development blueprints that are more inclusive and just for all stakeholders.

The hybrid summit will be held at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, and also broadcasted virtually for local and global audiences. Free and open to all, you can register to attend the summit in-person or online to access a series of programmes, including presentations by notable speakers across ASEAN, online masterclasses by industry experts, and experiential learning.

“Sustainability is a strategic priority for CIMB, and as a responsible financial intermediary, we are committed to driving positive impacts not only within the Group but also across the region,” Dato’ Abdul Rahman further said, noting that ESG (environmental, social, and governance) has become a pertinent consideration among all parties given the climate change, global pandemic, among other risks.
