If you’re planning an overseas trip or buying from international websites, HSBC is offering 20% cashback on eligible foreign currency spending for a limited time. Cardholders who meet the campaign requirements can also stand a chance to win RM20,000 cashback.
The HSBC and HSBC Amanah Beyond Currency Promotion [PDF] runs from 1 August to 31 October 2026 and is open to new and existing primary and supplementary cardholders of selected HSBC and HSBC Amanah credit cards. Registration is required before spending.
To qualify for cashback, you’ll need to make a single foreign currency transaction worth at least RM500 (or its equivalent). Eligible purchases earn 20% cashback, capped at RM1,000 per cardholder each month, with a maximum of RM3,000 over the entire campaign.
The cashback is available on a first come, first served basis, with a total monthly cashback pool of RM100,000 shared among eligible cardholders.
HSBC is also giving away a RM20,000 cashback grand prize each month.
For every RM100 equivalent spent in a single foreign currency transaction, you’ll receive one entry into the monthly prize draw. Entries reset at the start of each month, so they do not carry forward throughout the campaign.
The cashback applies to eligible purchases made in foreign currencies, whether you’re paying at a shop overseas or shopping online with international merchants. However, transactions such as cash advances, balance transfers, subscriptions and purchases processed using Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) are not eligible.
You’ll need to register before participating in the campaign. Registration can be completed by replying CC2 to an invitation SMS, through eligible HSBC marketing emails, or by submitting the online registration form on the HSBC Malaysia or HSBC Amanah website using the promotion code CC2.
Cashback will be credited within 15 to 16 weeks after the campaign ends, provided your card account remains active and in good standing.
