Maybank Brings Money Market Investing To The MAE App
Author Avatar

Maybank has introduced Savings+, a new feature on its MAE app that lets you put your money into a Shariah-compliant money market fund from RM10.

Unlike money kept in a conventional savings account, money placed through Savings+ is invested in a fund, so it is not protected by PIDM deposit insurance.

Start Investing From RM10

Savings+ has no lock-in period, so you can withdraw at any time. Returns are calculated daily and credited monthly, while investments and withdrawals are typically processed within an average of two business days.

To get started:

  1. Open the MAE app and select “Savings+” under “View All.”
  2. Complete the required onboarding steps, including a Suitability Assessment.
  3. Make an initial investment from RM10.

Potential Returns Up To 3.32% A Year

Managed by Maybank Asset Management, the fund invests in short-term, liquid assets and offers potential returns of up to 3.32% a year, based on its performance as at 30 June 2026. This is a historical performance figure rather than a guaranteed return, and actual returns may vary depending on market conditions.

Savings+ is available to both new and existing Maybank customers. Download the MAE app on the App Store or Google Play to access this feature.
