Maybank is currently running its Scan & Pay – Up To RM50 Cashback Promotional campaign, where customers can earn up to RM50 cashback when they spend a minimum of RM30 with selected merchants using Scan & Pay on the Maybank2u or MAE by Maybank2u (MAE) app. Held in conjunction with the upcoming celebrations of Hari Raya, Hari Gawai, and Pesta Kaamatan, the campaign is already ongoing and will run until 19 June 2021.
To be eligible for this campaign, you’ll need to have an active Maybank2u or MAE account, and are registered to use the Scan & Pay feature. Upon meeting the minimum requirement spend, you’ll then have the chance to earn a cashback of random value, ranging between RM0 to RM50. The amount will be determined by a randomiser programme.
Each eligible customer is allowed to earn four of these cashback rewards throughout the whole campaign, subject to the following cashback period:
You can spend with more than 250,000 retail merchants nationwide in order to tap into the benefits of this campaign – ranging from household essentials to pharmacy and healthcare, to F&B. Expenses with selected online merchants are also taken into account. Major participating brands include Mydin, Guardian Pharmacy, Nando’s, Starbucks, and Uniqlo.
Maybank also clarified that to qualify for this campaign, the source of funds for your Scan & Pay feature must be set to your Maybank current, savings, or MAE account. In other words, you cannot use your debit or credit cards to fund the Scan & Pay feature for the purchases in this campaign.
Additionally, note that only Scan & Pay transactions performed via the Maybank2u app (version 5.6 and above) and MAE app (version 0.6.4 and above) will be accepted, so make sure to update your app to the latest version before performing the required transactions. You are also not allowed to split your bills in order to redeem multiple cashback rewards.
Lastly, all cashback earned will be credited into your account within seven working days from each eligible transaction. They will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis, and the bank has allocated a total of RM1.7 million for this whole campaign.
