Ryt Bank has launched an unlimited digital Angpow campaign for Chinese New Year, starting today, 12 February 2026, allowing both referrers and new users to receive festive rewards throughout the celebration period.
The initiative is fully funded by the bank and offers digital Angpows worth up to RM88 for both parties with each successful sign-up.
At the centre of the campaign is a referral-based digital Angpow feature designed to reflect the traditional practice of giving during Chinese New Year.
For every successful sign-up, both the person who shares the referral and the new customer receive a digital Angpow worth up to RM88. Participation is not capped, allowing users to continue sharing throughout the festive season.
According to Ryt Bank, the structure is intended to mirror the mutual nature of festive giving rather than a conventional one-sided referral bonus.
In conjunction with the festive season, Ryt Bank has also launched a feature called “What’s My Huat”, powered by Ryt AI.
Accessible through the in-app AI chat, users can receive a personalised Year of the Horse fortune reading by selecting the built-in prompt or typing “What’s my Huat”. The feature generates a shareable digital festive card, offering a mobile-first interpretation of traditional fortune readings.
The initiative aligns with Ryt Bank’s positioning as an AI-powered digital bank that integrates technology with cultural engagement.
Alongside its Chinese New Year initiatives, Ryt Bank has extended its savings bonus interest offering until the end of June 2026.
Customers can earn up to 4% per annum paid daily, with no lock-in period and full access to their funds at any time.
The extended interest campaign continues beyond the festive period, providing ongoing returns for customers after Chinese New Year concludes.
The unlimited digital Angpow structure is built around referral participation rather than one-off promotional rewards.
Because the campaign does not impose a cap on successful referrals, users who actively share their referral links may receive multiple Angpows, depending on the number of completed sign-ups. The reward mechanism encourages ongoing engagement throughout the festive period.
At the same time, both parties benefit from each successful referral, reinforcing the shared nature of traditional Angpow giving.
Together, the referral rewards and extended savings interest offer position the campaign as both a festive engagement initiative and a user acquisition strategy within Ryt Bank’s digital ecosystem.
