Maybank To Migrate Permanently From Classic Maybank2u Website To Current Website

Maybank has announced that it will be discontinuing the Classic Maybank2u website in January 2022, migrating permanently to the current Maybank2u website from then on.

“We will be soon making a permanent move to the current Maybank2u website. As a result, the Classic Maybank2u website will be unavailable from January 2022 onwards. This change only applies to individual customers; Maybank2u Biz will remain unchanged,” the bank clarified in its announcement.

Maybank also emphasised that the current Maybank2u website offers a range of new services that provides a better and more convenient online banking experience. “This includes having a clear and consolidated view of your wealth, viewing your ASNB holdings, creating multiple saving goals to help you save up, and more. Rest assured that you’ll be provided with the utmost security when banking with the current Maybank2u website, just like the Classic Maybank2u,” it said.

Additionally, the bank clarified that there will be no change to customers’ Maybank2u login details; they can log in using the same username and password as usual. Their online banking details – including favourite billers and payees saved in the past, as well as recurring transfers and payments – will also be automatically made available in the current Maybank2u. There is no need to set up such information again.

Maybank further advised customers to always remain cautious when assessing its website to perform transactions. “Always be safe and visit the website directly by typing www.maybank2u.com.my into your browser,” it reminded.

The current Maybank2u website was launched back in 2018 with the aim of providing a more simplified online banking experience, offering a cleaner and more streamlined design. It existed alongside the Classic Maybank2u website, and customers could choose to log in via either versions of the website.

If you have any enquiries regarding this permanent migration from the Classic Maybank2u website, you can contact the bank’s Customer Care Hotline at 1300 88 6688 (Malaysia) or +603 7844 3696 (overseas). Alternatively, you can send them an email at mgcc@maybank.com.
