MBSB Bank Offers Fertility Treatment Financing From 2.60%
Author Avatar

MBSB Bank is offering financing of up to RM50,000 for fertility treatments at KL Fertility Centre.

Rates start as low as 2.60% p.a. flat, under a campaign called Fertility Financing-i XTRA Vaganza running from 3 August 2026 to 28 February 2027.

Effective Rate Works Out To 4.95%

The advertised 2.60% p.a. flat rate works out to an effective profit rate of 4.95% p.a., calculated as the Standardised Base Rate (currently 2.75% p.a., effective 17 July 2025) plus 2.20% p.a., over a three-year financing tenure.

Rates are capped at a ceiling of 15.00% p.a., and treatment must be carried out exclusively at KL Fertility Centre to qualify.

Eligibility And Payment Requirements

You’ll need to be a Malaysian citizen aged 19 to 60 at the point the facility expires or your opted retirement age, whichever comes first, whether you’re a new or existing MBSB Bank customer. You’ll also need to open a Current Account-i or Savings Account-i with the bank and subscribe to Group Credit Family Takaful coverage, along with other Banca Takaful or wealth products.

If you’re a government employee, you can repay through salary deduction via Biro Perkhidmatan Angkasa, the Federal or State Accountant General, or employer arrangements. If you work in the private sector, you can pay through over-the-counter transactions, Interbank GIRO, instant transfer, standing instruction, or auto debit.

Campaign Also Offers A JAECOO J5 As A Prize

You can also earn entries into the accompanying XTRA Vaganza draw. The grand prize is one JAECOO J5, and quarterly prizes include three units of the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB, two RM10,000 travel vouchers, and seven RM1,000 Harvey Norman gift cards.

Financing Support Amid A Declining Birth Rate

This financing option comes as Malaysia faces a declining birth rate and an ageing population, trends that have made family planning a growing focus for both government and private institutions.

If you’re planning fertility treatment, this MBSB Bank financing can be used alongside other support you may already be eligible for, such as income tax relief of up to RM10,000.
